Two Days in Nice, France

Nice, France

Nice, France

How'd I get here? As with most of my travel the "where to next?" is always picked at random. I had heard a lot about Nice, France, and I realized it wasn't all that far from where I was... I found that I could jump on the train to Nice for about 25 Euros...so I did :) Just like everyone always says, the public in transit is incredibly easy to use. Google maps is super handy. I'll put in my destination and click the bus/train directions option and it will give you what your options are.

Where/How did I work? Just like Marseille, wifi isn't as widely available in comparison to the UK, States, or Canada. They did have coworking spaces, but I was only there for about two days, one of which was a holiday so the whole city was shut down. The hostel I stayed in had pretty decent wifi so I got some work done there.

Sometimes you just want a burger.

Sometimes you just want a burger.

Where did I stay? The Ozz Hotel, which is a hostel & quite nice! It has some downsides, but overall a very good experience. I think the best part was the coffee machine in the common area...it was amazing!

What did I eat? The evening I arrived in Nice, I was craving a burger. You can take an American outside the States, but you can't take the States out of an American...something like that, right? Everyone at this restaurant spoke English...and oddly enough, they all seemed to be from Australia. Anyway, the burger was damn good.

Best part? Walking up and down the pebble beach and around the coast, it was beautiful, similar to Marseille, just a little more touristy. You can also tell that rich people go there for vacation. They have a large pedestrian zone which is neat, but again, filled with tourists/ vacationers.

Would I go back/recommend? Meh, I would recommend to go for vacation...if you want to. I don't feel compelled to go back.
