Zugspitze, Garmisch, Germany - Tallest mountain in Germany.

A couple of weeks ago, shortly after arriving to Cambridge, England, my brother & his two little girls went on a trip to Garmisch, Germany. Ya'll... this little German town is so gorgeous! They refuse to sell out so it's practically stayed the same since the early 90's, according to my brother. It's a quaint town surrounded by beautiful mountains. The image above is from the Zugspitze, which is the tallest mountain in Germany - in fact, in that picture, you are looking at Spain & Austria as well... neat, right?

This was a 4 day "vacation" for me... vacation is in quotes because all of my vacations usually involve some work. Gotta do what ya gotta do! I spent one of the days at the Zugspitze snowboarding all day... it. was. epic. The weather was beautiful & there's nothing better than grabbing a currywurst & hefeweisen beer for lunch break.

Fun Fact: I was born in Kansas, then moved to Garmisch when I was 2 months old. After 18 months we moved to Virginia, USA—where I call home.

This was my mom's favorite bakery—although the management has changed since, apparently it's stayed basically the same since '92. 25 years later I'm sitting in front munching on a delicious pastry.

The scenery in Garmisch was picturesque—snowcapped mountains in just about every direction, milky blue glacial water running through the creeks meandering through the town, and beautiful ornate paintings on the buildings.

If you have a few days & can make it out there, you won't regret it.
